Following the complete renovation of this Georgian terraced house in the New River Conservation area of King’s Cross, we were commissioned to re-design the overgrown unloved garden. The brief included two key requests: create a space that offered peace and quiet and create a generous space for eating and entertaining. Our design sought to compliment the contemporary interiors with elegant horizontal cedar wood trellising and new sandstone hard standing. The Terrace steps down to a quiet enclosed lower terrace with a reclaimed stone bench. The garden is completed with planting of lavenders, Japanese hollies and multi-stemmed, mature Cornus Kousa Chinensis.
